San Diego Science Museums
San Diego enjoys a myriad of museum experiences that encompass a diversity of art and history. Our cultural and art museums offer a meaningful panorama of international art drawn from both private collections and traveling exhibitions.
Birch Aquarium at Scripps Inst
|
| Is the public exploration center for Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UCSD in La Jolla. Because it's smaller than some of its better-known cousins, the Birch Aquarium allows you to get close to the animals and take your time enjoying them. Colorful fish and anemones of all descriptions adorn the exhibits. The most popular exhibit is the sea horses, featuring many species, from tiny miniature sea horses less than an inch tall to other-worldly leafy sea dragons. Interactive exhibits teach the history of oceanography. |
